Crow Bookshop opened its doors in December 1995. We carry NEW, USED, and REMAINDER books at great prices. We have something for everyone, including the latest Bestsellers, Kids' Books, Gardening, Travel, History, Cookbooks, Art, Religion, Fiction, and a section featuring Vermont Authors. We also have a section devoted to Graphic Novels and other comics.

The Crow is a member of Indiebound. In addition to the great selection of USED and REMAINDER books, we’ve been selling NEW BOOKS for years. As a result of recent changes to Church Street's landscape, which left us as the only bookstore, our inventory of NEW BOOKS is dramatically expanding. New Hardcover books are discounted 20% off cover price.   Stop in soon, you may be pleasantly surprised!

This is a temporary page as we renew our website. We are exited to announce that we are in queue to have an IndieCommerce website from which you will be able to purchase books online, including Google e-books (if you must). The Crow won the Seven Days Daysie for Best Bookstore in the award’s inaugural year of 2003.   We won again in 2007 and 2011, and we were runner up (to a large, unnamed corporate store in South Burlington) just about every other year.   We are honored to receive this vote of confidence from our community. Thursday - Saturday: 10AM - 10PM
Sunday: 11AM - 6PM

(We seldom but sometimes close early on particularly cold and lonely evenings. Please call first if you are coming from afar.)

Selling Books

We will accept books in trade for store credit towards purchases of USED and REMAINDER books by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please call us (802) 862-0848 before bringing books to our store to ensure that someone will be able to help you.

Job Opportunities

When we need help, we will run a classified advertisement in Craigslist and Seven Days. You can (snail) mail us a resume at any time, which we will keep on file for 30 days or so.
